zonkron posited that hubski could be an internet Ellis Island:
- Where's the metaphorical Statue of Liberty here? There is nothing to fear.....
So in that spirit, poets of hubski (instead of shouting out to you, just find this, okay?), can anyone rewrite the lines by Emma Lazarus, currently on the Statue of Liberty, to be more descriptive of our sensibility?
Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
edit: oh these were supposed to rhyme. i tried.
disclaimer: i dont do poetry Lend me the lost, the searching,
Your unwinding electrons smashing through data,
The wild release of your oiled machine,
Catch these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my tags beside the badged door!
Find us the disparaged, the lost, the tired, the poor,
Your refugees yearning for a new ship to grace the shore,
The sailors on a journey without a set course.
Send these, the restless, the homeless, the lonely, to me,
Where they may find refuge and salvation in hubski
