Text surrounded by asterisks (*) is italicized.

Text surrounded by plus signs (+) is bolded.

Text surrounded by vertical bars (|) is quoted. If you double-click a paragraph, it will be quoted.

Text surrounded by tildes (~) is blocked out.

Symbols such as *, +, |, and ~ can be used literally by placed a \ in front of the text.

I've known mk for 69.23076% of my life. He invited me to poke around a site he had just built. Then I sent him an old laptop to use as his dev server… then I think the laptop died within days because it was a spectacular pile of garbage. We had a discussion about when hubski got huge, the dev laptop could go in a glass case and people would come from all around to marvel at hubski's humble beginnings… but I'm sure it got recycled instead.
