It's enough to make you want to settle down, almost. I mean, go condoms, too of course, but there's nothing like monogamy with a clean, faithful partner (celibacy is not an option, guys) to help you feel like you're avoiding those STDs.

Know a girl who celebrates the transition from "fling" to "long term relationship" by swapping blood test results. That's where she takes dudes from condoms to birth control pills. Been doing it that way since we were all in college.

I hope some breakthrough in prophylactic technology happens this year. There's always that "condom moment" between two people, even if it's really subtle and manifests as just a slight hesitation. It's that moment where fun, vivid living is intruded upon by the possibility of a pregnancy with a relative unknown, a life altering illness or even death.

Going soft on condom innovation is not an option.

Or, that's how I'd make a pitch to a condom manufacturer, if I knew one.
