In early April, a Chinese study published in Science found that ferrets (which are used in research into respiratory diseases) and cats—but not dogs, pigs, chickens, or ducks—could be infected with the novel coronavirus, and cats could become infected via airborne transmission.

Banning outdoor cats forever would be a nice compromise. Little fuckers kills so many birds and they're an invasive species that out-compete all the other little furry creatures. I wouldn't let my cats outdoors anyways because the stupid little gremlins would get hit by cars or get lost but it's nice to pretend I'm also contributing for that.
