Hey all!
So I'm going to be launching and curating a Hubski newsletter! It's going to feature the best discussions, the best original content, the best links, and a section totally dedicated to random, awesome, or mostly-unseen things on Hubski. Also I'm going to try to include at least one old school post from back in the day - at least a year ago.
For now, it'll go out once every two weeks. As we grow and I get used to it, we might bump it up to once a week. Might. :P
Hopefully, it'll be a great way to see some things you may have missed, find new people to follow, stimulate new conversation in older or unshared posts, and give you a short and sweet recap of the past two weeks on Hubski.
For those posting anything, anywhere on hubski you have a chance to be featured in the newsletter. I'm really going to try to go deep and include stuff that may be mostly unseen/unshared. So just because I'm not following you or your post doesn't get a full hubwheel, doesn't mean it won't be included. Time to step up your game! :D
As always, if you have any advice for me in new role as part of the Hubski team or regarding this newsletter, feel free to shout out, message, or comment me! Or you can now email me directly at taylor at hubskinewsletter dot com.
Also, I've only tested the whole newsletter forms like....3 times...so if you get any bugs let me know!
Thanks everyone, and I hope I can make this a valuable addition to the quantity & quality of Hubski in all of your lives!

Insom, this is great. I just had a thought, what about having a link called "Old School" or something like that where we feature a favorite post from a while back? There are so many great posts and conversations from our back-log that newer users could benefit from seeing. What do you think?
I was thinking the exact same thing ever since you found that old cocktail recipe from 500 days ago. I'll make a new section for it ASAP.
Just so you know, the subscription confirmation turned up in my junk folder, so you might want to say that on the page that asks for confirmation.
Good question. It's more me doing it with the help of who ever wants to help me, not specifically Hubski or the rest of the Hubski guys. Although they will most likely be assisting me, just like you could assist me if you wanted! Also, the email address that you have used for your Hubski account is not used/seen/linked/etc and is totally separate from Hubski Newsletter. Hubski isn't going to email you about the newsletter and Hubski Newsletter isn't going to ever have access to the email addresses that have been used to sign up for Hubski. Plus, I think it's a safety measure that if I go crazy (which I won't, I promise!) you can't blame Hubski.com. But you can blame me and Hubski Newletter. I hope that clarifies a bit?

It's a fabulous idea -- Maybe it would be less ambiguous for me if the line read - Curation (Assembly?) of this newsletter is not directly affiliated with the management of Hubski.com. That seems short. I originally composed a longer version of the same message: "While Hubski Newsletter will contain the best of hubski.com, it exists as a separate entity and its flaws, should any arise, are the responsibility of the Hubski Newsletter's staff. My need for precision in language has become a problem for me. Where's the wine? In any event, there's a lot of great stuff buried in the archives.
Much better. I quite like your longer version! Thanks.
As someone who works for a company that stuffs LCD screens, audio chips, LEDs, and chinese cell phones into magazines, direct mailers and books/brochures, hoping to revive print - I can safely assure you that no matter what anyone wants to believe, print is dead.
steve...Honestly, all kidding aside... a quarterly newsletter mailed to your house would be super cool. We could do it for the first 100 people to subscribe. You must have earned a full hub-wheel. How much is a stamp these days? 40 cents? That's $40. I think we could make that work :) It could be fun. Food for thought
