Pretty rough version, but I like the song and can envision strings and horns as well as some really distorted guitar octaves at the end.
I think I'll work on it further but thought I'd share it.
Protools, Mbox, Audio Technica condensor mic and an SM-58. Pretty straight forward. I have guitars/drums/percussion instruments etc. But it's nothing too fancy, literally just a furnace room with a work-bench.
It's all in the mic and the mic placement. But most people feel like the other guys sound is cleaner. My friend records with Garage Band and I feel like his stuff sounds WAY cleaner than mine. He's also just a more detail oriented musician. -That helps.
I like this very much, but I agree with flagamuffin that the chorus could use a bit of flair.
I'll see what I can do :-) Thanks for the feedback jemiller, I appreciate it.
cW, this is the song I started playing for you the other night.
