Some of these seem very stereotypical, but they are real. I wish I had images of my room each year as I grew up. It went through some phases.
The most depressing to me are the barren ones. I can't think of any point as a child where the spartan aesthetic appealed to me.

Wow, I never would have considered that. My mother was a neat freak, and I remember hanging up sheets, spreading my stuffed animals about, and enjoying a bit of disarray in my room.
We had one room we couldn't go in so as to disrupt the lines vacuumed in the floor.

Yeah mk, take it easy on your mom. Jeez. Most people vacuum lines in their carpet and then never walk on it ;-)

We've not met yet, but someday soon. I'm really excited for all of you guys. You have likely met my wife Joanna. We have a 1 year old girl and it's the greatest thing ever. I'm actually Marks partner on Hubski. I'm sure you're proud, he's a hell of a guy.
