Oh, the hidden spaces. The tight crack between the wall and the bed where many a torn out magazine page hid. The corner of the closet where I stuffed the notes from the girls I admired. And always my stereo by my bed. I spent an entire year falling asleep to side two of "Abbey Road". The previous year was "the Wall", you can imagine how much brighter my dreams became after abandoning "the Wall"! I looked at the photo's in your post and I've been thinking about it all day. It has awoken a nostalgia in me that rarely comes out. Thank you for that. Great post, one of my favorites.
The most depressing to me are the barren ones. I can't think of any point as a child where the spartan aesthetic appealed to me.
We had one room we couldn't go in so as to disrupt the lines vacuumed in the floor.
I'm sure she's a lovely woman.
We've not met yet, but someday soon. I'm really excited for all of you guys. You have likely met my wife Joanna. We have a 1 year old girl and it's the greatest thing ever. I'm actually Marks partner on Hubski. I'm sure you're proud, he's a hell of a guy.
