I don't know about the rest of the human race, but I have not spent much time watching improbable things on Youtube. Because you know what's more interesting than watching someone get struck by lightning? Reading. Cooking. Talking with friends. I don't mean to say there aren't some truly amazing things here, but I just find it hard to believe that the author thinks that "they fill our vision." They haven't filled my vision! I see just fine. Meanwhile, Quite improbably, the author of those lines was granted an honorary doctorate degree at McMaster University and his entire speech to the graduating class was examples of the improbable being as probable as the probable.The Improbable is the New Normal
The title of this article reminds me of the scene in The Pink Panther (2006) movie with Steve Martin as Inspector Clouseau. Clouseau speculates that the victim was killed by a parrot. His partner replies, "I find that highly improbable." Clousseau shoots back, "The improbable is no less probable than the probable. In fact, it may even be more probable than the probable."
