Prior to the debate Kennedy was polling at 15% in CNN’s own poll. Most polls have options listed as:

Biden

Trump

Other

Then, when you click on, “other,” you get:

Kennedy

Stein

West

When the poll is

Biden

Trump

Kennedy

Not surprisingly, Kennedy’s numbers are even higher. My assumption is that he is around 20% nationally, post debate. This will continue to inch up until the second debate. If Kennedy makes the stage, he can win.

He held a shadow debate wherein he answered all of the same questions as the other candidates. It’s worth watching. You get to see all three answer:

Man, I dunno about that guy.

You can perceive this as a hit job, but if I'm simply watching the video of RFK talking about the sexual assault allegations after Saagar brings it up, it's real bad. Real bad response to the questioning. No remorse, no openness. This, after I watched some of RFK's interview with Cenk on The Young Turks and almost fell asleep.

The guy is a recovered addict. At the outset of his campaign he let his team, and all of us know that he has a lot of skeletons in his closet. He has worked hard to reform them. Truth is, I don’t give a shit about his behaviors 20, 30, 40 years ago. I care about his current judgement and his policy proposals. Biden has sexual harassment charges from 40 years ago, trump has many. Wipe all of those away and look at their policy proposals, look at what they perceive to be the greatest challenges worth overcoming for our nation. I find it hard to believe anyone wouldn’t choose Kennedy’s vision for America.

I’ve never watched Cenk’s program so I can’t speak to it but I’ve never found a long form interview with Kennedy to be boring. But we do live in a sound-bite world. Which is why lying and saying someone ate a dog in Korea can have legs. That Vanity Fair article was a steaming pile of propaganda.
