I have, and sadly, while the answer might be "no", the outcome isn't certain because it requires too much faith in (just as you've alluded to before) peoples' ability to discern credible information in this landscape, and too much faith that media outlets not focus primarily on outrageous things Donald Trump says/tweets, 'cuz pageviews, vs. focusing on actual policy decisions. The Senate GOP knows and appreciates the cover Trump's circus provides in perhaps the most chaotic news cycle in history. Bottom line: Yup, I would loooooove to delude myself into thinking that it's curtains for the entire GOP apparatus, but, nah. I'm not going to assume that until the credits roll.
