I'm sure they're not representative, but I've been following /r/army since Tuesday because it's the window I've got, and most of the upvoted comments are either along the lines of "I really don't want to do this" or "I'd be ok if they asked us to rein in the police". There's a distinct lack of enthusiasm for beating down people to protect windows.
Wasn't it cool to see his bid for secretary of defense hosted on the 'Times' homepage? Still, I gotta say, the "oh MAGA'd, wtf" moment of the day award goes to "John Dowd", in a tremendously private letter: "The phony protestors near Lafayette park were not peaceful and are not real." Then a bit about governors and city leaders "wetting themselves". This is clearly a principled, well-measured, widely-corroborated, totally sourced rebuttal of LAME James Matty-boy, a dummy dumbdumb.
