You can get all dorm-room philosopher about that but the 2nd law of thermodynamics specifically states "entropy increases" which also means "time always moves forward." 1st law: Energy is conserved (there's always a winner and a loser) 2nd law: Entropy increases (house always wins) 3rd law: Entropy approaches a constant value (can't stop playing until you're broke)
The other week, while on a coffee date with one of mine and Dala's good friends, I subjected them to a five minute rant about how much I absolutely detest drawn out conversations about metaphysics. That we devote so much thought to questions on concepts like souls, the afterlife, multiverses, what have you when we all clearly struggle to tackle even the basics of what it means to live a daily life of moral fortitude and constancy, which should be an area of greater focus and concern and practice, is beyond frustrating. Which is a longer way of saying that you calling me a dorm-room philosopher wounds my pride deeply sir. I. Am. Shook. Clearly though, I have only myself to blame, for falling into a half decade long habit of neglecting to use the /s tag when I really should. If only there was a way to go back in time to earlier this morning, to undo a minor yet greatly embarrassing mistake.
