I don't have a picture of it sadly, but there used to be some fantastic graffiti where I lived, on the wall of the Zion Arts Centre, in half-metre high scrawl: Drugs n anything I'm so glad Adult Swim is able to put out things like this or Unedited footage of a bear - the infomercial whether I personally like it or not I think it's really healthy for it to be widely available. I mean it hands down beats having to watch a copy of a copy of a copy of a bootleg Eraserhead VHS - which is how I first saw it.
Just a side-note: I first saw Eraserhead in the mid-1980s and thought it was mildly intriguing but a bit slow on (story) action. I watched it again more recently and it was far richer and more complex. My life experience over time was cramming the previously-perceived "blank spaces" with meaning.I mean it hands down beats having to watch a copy of a copy of a copy of a bootleg Eraserhead VHS - which is how I first saw it.
I had a stolen VHS of Heavy Metal. Friends said it was their favorite film. So I brought it back from home at Christmas freshman year. We all sat down to watch it with Mad Dog 20/20 and popcorn. Turns out they'd never seen the theatrical release. Their experience was a dupe of the USA Network broadcast. Them were some scared, confused and titillated boys.
