I had a stolen VHS of Heavy Metal. Friends said it was their favorite film. So I brought it back from home at Christmas freshman year. We all sat down to watch it with Mad Dog 20/20 and popcorn.

Turns out they'd never seen the theatrical release. Their experience was a dupe of the USA Network broadcast.

Them were some scared, confused and titillated boys.
