On the face of it he'd be a more skillful and principled legislator than the current office holder. The issue is that prior to this particular crazy train of destiny, we generally chose between prestigious and talented public figures with prior experience in governance. There was a time when the fact that Michael Avenatti hadn't so much as served on his condo association's review board would be considered disqualifying for high office. Some of us are just mournful that that time has passed.
