Lol. I was the proud (sarcastically) owner of an Evoque a couple years ago. It was bar none the biggest piece of shit on a per dollar basis that has ever hit the road. The turbo and the transfer case each blew when the thing was like 3 years old. I would only fear for my safety as a pedestrian if JLR were the dickholes manufacturing the thing.

I don't think I've ever heard of an Evoque before.

A quick google tells me that it looks like a Ford Edge grew a Riker beard.

Hey, now. An Evoque would be dope if it had like a V8.

And some reliability.

And cost less than $70k.

And was made by someone reputable.

Really if Ford had ripped off the Evoque instead of the LR4 it would have been an awesome Bronco II.

Technically the thing was probably designed while Ford still owned them (since the conception to delivery life cycle can be anywhere from like 4-9 years), so it's a grey area whether it was a pure ripoff, or, say, a self-citation. Either way, you couldn't pay me to drive one of those motherfuckers again. My wife bought it before we were married, so I was only a legal owner by default. The only thing worse than Land Rover engineering is their customer service, whose only function seems to be to piss you off even worse than an unexpected $5000 breakdown, so that you finally just hang up and pay their ridiculous prices out of frustration.

Was behind an f-type in traffic once. Commented on it. My buddy daid "they're surprisingly gutless and whiney for a $90k car."

What do I know? I drive a schadenporsche.

Turns out British made garbage doesn't improve when taken over by an Indian company. Who could have guessed?

If Riker was stripped of his uniform (and pride), becoming a hollowed-out shell of his former self. Then yes.
