After 10PM Local Time. Moon will be big, bright and in your face, but look north and see if the sky has a weird, eerie glow to it. That is the aurora. Watch that glow for 30-40 minutes and see if it changes. No Aurora here but with my binoculars I bagged 12 of the 110 Messier objects. I was shooting for 20, but the transparency here tonight is not good enough.

Okay, sounds good. Where are you getting 45 from? That image makes it look like you need to be in a northern Canadian province to see anything.
