Found this pretty compelling explenation on Reddit. I don't know the guy's credentials, but he seems to be saying all the right words. Your thoughts?
Sounds pretty normal china BS that apple thought they were immune from. Guess again fuckwads, if you play with fire long enough you will get burned. China has long been re-appropriating IP this is just the latest example. I'm surprised it took this long. China is doing whats right for China. I cant really blame them but our own free trade idiots in government are caught with their pants down too afraid to retaliate.
Hmm. Companies like Apple, GM, etc. tend to be run by some pretty smart people. I wonder if they expect these things to happen and just have it factored into their costs and such as part of business. This kind of stuff seems part for the course for them, as kleinbl00 and I were just talking about car companies and China the other day and this exact problem. I wonder though, that if this keeps on happening, companies will become more and more hesitant to work in China's markets.
