it's on iTunes and Apple Music, vinyl preorders are up as well.
It's really fucking strange, this album. It made me very uncomfortable overall :D
Still haven't gotten a chance to listen to the album which blows because I've only heard good things about it. Very excited though. This has been a hell of a week for me in regards to music. edit: Managed to pick up digital off their website. Listening now report back in a bit. edit2: Just finished going through it, and Daydreaming made me cry a bit. I think it is my favorite piece on the album, but I probably couldn't tell you why. I tend to have a weakness for those dream-like sounds. I don't have a technical background in music, so I opt towards how a piece resonates with me. The entire album is an unbelievable achievement.
Daydreaming is great. I'm warming up to some of the other tracks over time. I'm happy that theyre making music again, but again I feel like they've lost an edge overall. Radiohead were the sensei of compositional climax, you could trace a song through a gripping buildup and fuckin phenomenal catharses. This kinda feels unbalanced and almost poorly mixed. But certain classic RH stuff like epic rhythm is still on point, thankfully.
It's gonna sound ridiculously corny, but I decided to listened to daydreaming during my bike ride. It was a pretty different experience. I think I'm in the same boat as you though. It's a great album, but I don't know if I could call it my favorite album by them.
