The television has already collapsed in my household. If not for live sports, the television does not get much love at all.

I have a "rec" room in our basement, which is a nice way to say a TV room. I think I might take the TV down and put it in our bedroom so we can watch movies in bed. That's all we use it for. We have Roku which we use to stream Netflix and TED. We don't have a cable provider, we gave that up and I have REALLY missed sports. Trying to keep tabs on the Stanley Cup Playoffs has been very hard.

You're right. We just have to wait until they are available a season behind, on netflix. But I think Game of Thrones is possibly the best TV I've ever seen. caio did you guys start watching that?

Okay, at night after your gf falls asleep you should sneak out of bed and watch it. It's that good.
We stopped watching broadcast or cable about 5-6 years ago. Now we just Netflix, and that's about it. The TV is in our bedroom.
I don't like having a TV on in the house because it drains your attention and gives back so little. Also, I hate commercials. 90% of them seem to start with the basis that you are a jovial drooling idiot. I am sure that TV is dead. I'll pay to watch shows like I pay to watch movies. Everything else is a waste of time and money.

Really, I don't miss it much. I certainly don't miss the commercials. That's one thing "new media" has done well. They give you one quick block of adverts or they charge you a per month fee to ignore them. Whether it be netflix or pandora, they're pretty good about allowing you to avoid being treated like a jovial drooling idiot. -Just one of the MANY reasons old media is dying.
