I'm hardly familiar besides his selected ambient works records, but I think it's Aphex time for lil' pabs. Hook it up, Hubski!
Edit: In your post, comment the title of the link cause all we see is 'Aphex Twin'!
Thanks! Do you consider RDJ to be the best album?
I'll steer clear of Donkey Rhubarb then:D Thanks again
I was only vaguely aware of Aphex Twin until mknod gave me a nudge. I saved the post, but it was a while before I got around to listening to what I expected would resemble "the inside of someone's nightmare." "Avril 14th" also converted me into a fan. ecib mentioned another great track, and I eventually found sheet music for several piano pieces. I can play the left hand, or the right hand, of "Kesson Daslef," but haven't managed to put them together. Same goes for "Gymnopédie No. 1" that mknod also mentioned.
Great list man, I'm still going through them all slowly. I've got a good hand in what I think has been most significant in this genre, like Autechre and Four Tet, Nicolas Jaar and Gesaffelstein, etc. but I'm always looking for the good stuff. You should post 'em in #music! Or #vibesandjives if you like, though I just started that tag to keep whatever tracks I happen to really like/listen to at the time.
