The transcript:
Good morning! This is Brian. It’s Tuesday morning, the 10th of November, 2015 and I’m about to read Steve’s questions and answer them.
First question: What are you working on?
At the moment I’m working on an F-POSS solution for a cab company in Australia.
Question Number 2:. What is a memorable discussion that you have had on Hubski? Who was it with and why has it stuck with you?
There are a few of those I think, but probably my favorite conversation on Hubski was the discussion we had about The Watchmen; the graphic novel not the movie. It was just really interesting, in depth, a lot of good comments. There have also been a lot of good comments about self-driving cars.
Go on to question 3. What is your message? Interesting question. I don’t think I really have a message other than, I don’t know, just off the top of my head: the secret to a happy life is keeping busy, having lots of things to do. I’m maybe a little bit too far in that extreme. I have lots of side hobbies and projects. And I have so many that I never have enough time to get anything done. But I’m a home brewer and a bee keeper. Never have enough time to spend on my boat. Just having a lot of things to do is a good way to go about your life.
That wasn’t very long, but maybe Steve can flesh it out and make something good out of it. Thank you all, Hubski, and I’ll talk to you later.
Nice to meet you Brian! How are your bees these days?
The bees are doing really well - it's early Spring here and they are building up nicely. I had one hive until last weekend, when I opened it up and split it. The idea is to take apart the hive and re-build it into two hives. One of the halves will have a queen, the other won't. It doesn't take the queenless hive long to figure out the queen is gone, so they will begin making one (they do this by feeding young bee grubs with a higher concentration of a secretion called 'royal jelly' - this causes that grub to become a queen instead of a normal worker). In a few weeks the new queen will be hatched and mated (they make several, and the first to hatch will kill all the others, then go on her mating flight). So the second hive might be a little less strong, but by Summer's end both hives should be strong.
Is it at all possible to write up transcripts? I know that's a bit of extra work but it would be very helpful.

EFTPOS = electronic funds transfer at point of sale - credit / debit card machines - in this case, mobile units with GPS, for Uber-like functionality.
As it is I have about 30 minutes a day of leisure time. If someone else would like to do that for us, that's fine. Otherwise, have a listen when you can. Hearing the persons voice and vocal mannerisms is half the joy. I bet you can't listen at work through, huh? Yeah, if someone else cares to do it, I'm all for it. Cheers
it's also good for the aurally impaired. no worries. if someone wants to do it that's cool. maybe i'll binge 3Q's some time
I like that advice actually. It keeps people from feeling bored and stuck and often can lend to a sense of accomplishment. I second coffeesp00ns question. How are those bees?
Shit, that was a really exceptional conversation. For some reason the post mortem didn't take off. Also, for god's sake anyone who liked Watchmen, please read at least the first three arcs of Worm.
Bookmarked, thanks for the tip. I will make time for it.
I'll read the first three arcs and then decide if it's worth continuing, then! I read the first chapter today on my lunch break. Have you read it all?
Great job with the backing track, Steve - nice job. Love the FFD at the beginning - that's one of my favourite tracks :
I'm glad you noticed. You introduced Hubski to them a while back in this thread:
So much good music from them (this track also features Ladi6 on vocals, she has a great voice) :
I was checking whether I paused my Spotify or I misclicked because I was listening to them :) How do you find their new album briandmyers?
The only track I've heard so far from the new album is 'Razor" but I like it a lot. The prior album 'Blackbird' was a little bit relaxed compared to their earlier work, but it's all good stuff.
It's a Hartley 16 - I'll probably sell it soon, and try to find something smaller (i.e. something I can launch by myself).
Nice. I'm not a sailor, but my brother katakowsj is. His boat looks just a tad smaller than Honey. Maybe it's the same size. I don't understand you sailors. It's relaxing as can be to be a passenger, but as peaceful as sailing appears, the captain never stops finicking. It's like ADHD therapy. :) What's the longest trip you've taken on it?
Sadly, I've only sailed her twice, and the maiden voyage was the longest. We loaded her with our camping gear, and sailed once while we were camping on the beach, but had to cut that trip short due to my wife getting seasick (which she usually doesn't have a problem with). The weather didn't cooperate for most of that trip, so that was the only voyage that summer. Here's a link to some pics from that trip (I really should edit out some of the crappier shots - oh well). It's at Port Jackson, a fantastic place to camp :
