LOL no. I was bartending for a friends wedding shower. I'm sure you can guess the theme.

I already have a hangover. It's more of a sip social drink and I only had a couple before I switched to Makers because I got so damn sugar high. It is fucking delicious, though and really refreshing. But yeah, not a drink to drink all night for sure.

I also made mai tais. Which was 1 part clear bacardi, 2 parts mai tai mix. Grenedine on the bottom, maitai, and then float with dark rum & orange slice.

Those were really popular.

I also did a champagne for the toast. I got the best shit though. Not best champagne...best shit. It was pomegranate dipping sugar. So I took the champagne flutes, did the rim with pomegranate sugar, and 2 raspberries in each. It was good even for a person (aka me) who doesn't really drink/like champagne. Plus it's pretty and colorful.

Sounds like a great time. It's always fun to have a few "custom" cocktails that are particular to the event. At my wires baby shower we had the "eve-tini" (our daughter's name) and the "mom-osa". They were great and it was one of the best parties I've ever been to.

Yeah we named them after the soon to be bride and groom. I premixed them in big glass things with spouts and then just had to do the float and throw and orange slice in.

We had about 100 people and didn't want to be making custom drinks all night so we just had these 2 for the liquor, plus a bottle of Maker's for the boys later in the night, lots of champagne and wine and then a keg of Longboard Lager outside. It went really well. I did make one girl a spiked shirley temple because she wanted something less sugary but that was the only custom drink I made. Made my life so much easier.
