I was kicked out of my 3rd grade class for singing the lyrics to Girls with two classmates. I used to walk around my neighborhood with my little boom-box and sing along to Paul Revere with my neighbor, we loved that song and played it all the time. I saw Q-Tip perform Ill Communication live with them, it was sweet. Saw them on tour several times. One time I made out with a random girl at a concert they played in Michigan and ended up having a crazy little fling with her. I probably made out to a lot of girls while the Beastie's were playing Whenever we threw parties, we had the Beastie Boys on the CD player. When driving to someone else's party, they were there being blasted in our cars. At field parties, they were blasted. They were everywhere growing up. Everywhere. I feel like I grew up with them. I love their music and I'm really sad that this era is over. MCA had such a great gravely voice. This sucks. RIP MCA and thanks for the soundtrack to my childhood and frankly much of my adult life too. MCA was willing, and he's my ace!
