Hi guys, I`m new to Hubski and have been finding all these contributions interesting. I`m not sure how big the photography community is here, but I decided on doing some self promotion since I`m here, along with showing you guys some runway photographs that I have taken.
I hope you enjoy them!
Howdy diggconvert21! There's actually a few photography fans on here, though I don't know off the top of my head who they are. Your gallery was great though, very professional looking. I have to ask, knowing how runway models tend to have stern faces, do you ever find yourself tempted to say "Smile for the camera!"?
I don't believe this is the models' choice. It's usually direction from the show's director or from the designer. Some shows are all about the smiles. Some shows aren't. It's a decision made and a direction given.knowing how runway models tend to have stern faces
Yup agreed! Hansel's shows tend to be more fun, where models tend to smile and there's some direction where they "take group selfies" at the end. Couture and high concept stuff tend to be more serious though.
hey, appreciate the welcome and the compliments! I think most of them tend to loosen up and the end of the show and end up smiling, but that's mostly after! The photographers are quite a distance from the runway though, so it's not possible to talk to them in the middle of the catwalk!
What's David Bowie like in real life? Just kidding. Looks like a fun shoot to be a part of. I wasn't a fan of much of the clothing, lots of clunky pieces in there but there were a few I liked. Are you a fan of fashion and photography or was this just an assignment?
I'm interested in photography primarily, but this was an assigment. I like couture and it's significantly more interesting to look at, but I'm not a big fan of ready to wear things. ( which this show primarily focused on) but hey, it's good practice for technique for things I do want to shoot
