Once they have a lot of filters, they will be globally filtered, meaning they won't show up in global.

Yikes. I didn't know about this. What exactly is the cap? It seems like someone could make a conflicting or provoking post or comment, spark an argument and get filtered by some people, and then get shadowbanned without ever getting a chance to correct themselves.

Is this the first non-self-moderating feature on Hubski? Of course, I understand its rational use of a bot or spammer or general asshole getting easily booted from everyone's feed. thenewgreen?

It's forgiving, and doesn't just take filtering into account. For a brand new account, there might be some risk, but is low. I keep an eye on it just in case.

Here's a rare example of a user that tripped that switch:

Shit, all that putlocker porn for naught. And that's great then, I didn't know it'd been around for a while.

It's been around a long time. The cap isn't easy to hit for a real user who isn't a troll. And, of course, it could be tweaked manually if the situation ever arose.

mk knows the recipe for couch things, but your concerns are addressed in the formula.

Worth noting. Nobody, to my knowledge, that wasn't an HTML spammer has ever had this distinction.
