What I wonder, is if the landscape that addresses our needs becomes more efficient, will it also become increasingly flat, and we more banal? What are we striving to be efficient at?
Yeah it sounded to me like this guy is celebrating the fact that ad serves will be super "smart". Everyday on my commute home I think to myself, "Man I wish there were more billboards on the freeway; and damn wouldn't it be cool if they were for products and services I value." Capitalism has been failing to advertise enough for far too long :(
That would be even funnier if I couldn't now head into my local supermarket and buy rice that has been partially cooked and frozen into packets so that I can take it home and cook it for slightly less time than I would other have to cook dry rice.
Read that earlier this year, really fascinating book. Would love to hear your thoughts on it when you finish it.
