Ever wonder why whenever we elect a president they immediately change? It's possible they are immediately subjected to large scale blackmail to maintain the status quo.
-This is certainly a possibility but in regards to why politicians change upon election, I think it's less vague and secretive. They change because of the promises they make behind the scenes to donors. There's no way to get elected in the US without selling out, unless you are incredibly wealthy to begin with. For this reason, it's almost more likely that someone like Romney could hold true to election promises than someone like Obama. Sad, but true.

edit: Also, thanks again for sharing the video with people, that's really cool of you. steve -I think you'd be glad to read this too.

Interestingly, there was a study done recently that showed that self-financed politicians are actually more corrupt on average, because they give preferential treatment to their companies (think Putin, Cheney, Berlusconi, etc.).

So what we need is an uber-wealthy recluse.

An uber-wealthy recluse whose business completely failed in the long run, yet he still has mounds of cash.
