I know that not everyone appreciates shout-outs but I always do, especially if they are because someone thinks whatever they're shouting me out on is relevant to my interests (because it usually is). Please feel free to shout-out to me. Worst thing that happens is it exposes me to something on Hubski I haven't seen yet.

This is especially great for me as I am drafting a blog post about political poems. I was on Rattle today and perhaps I pre-viewed a post that wasn't supposed to be up yet; they had a political poem about Bergdahl (spelling?) as part of this weekly series up. I'd link if I could find it but I think it wasn't supposed to be posted til later today - the blurb I read about the series said that poems went up on Sundays. Somehow the one I saw isn't live on the site or in the archive yet.

I strongly feel performance poetry, music, and spoken word all exist on a great spectrum so this certainly fits the theme too.

Thanks for sharing.

I don't post much and almost never shout out. I posted this late last night and by morning it was buried three pages into my feed. Her piece struck me enough that it was one of the first things I thought about in the morning, felt like I had to make sure that someone saw it, glad you liked it.

My favorite political poet

A long while back you introduced me to Whitey On The Moon and through it Gil Scott Heron and I'm in your debt for that. You introduced it to Hubski in a comment that you started off like this,

I don't know why I dislike Tyson so much. I guess his absolutest attitude about the supreme importance of space exploration is just so annoyingly ridiculous that I can't help but want to kick him in his teeth.
-Awesome, if nothing else because nobody every talks shit about NDT. I loved it then and I enjoyed rereading it just now.

Now you've introduced me to this wonderful piece by Kate Tempest and it moved me, I appreciate it. Feel free to shout-out to me more often. It's never bad content you're sharing. Hell, you introduced me to Townes Van Zandt for crying out loud. Shout out more

If I introduced you to Townes you owe me at least two shot of old crow if/when we ever meet in person.

Just left a record store with His Delta Momma ablues in my hands. I look forward to spinning it!
