I think as long as you're not making money off the product you can basically screw copyright all you want. Might be totally wrong, though. My blog totally gives the finger to publication rights on poems. (In a respectful, "educational" sense, at least.)
It doesn't matter if you are making money off of it or not. I looked into it in regards to the podcasts that we make. I'm essentially playing with fire, but I have a hard time believing anyone would come after us considering it doesn't make us money, but rather costs us money. Still, people would be well within their rights to have us take them down.
