(Flume - The Boiler Room)[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0EVEBx06eQ] Flume is my current favorite Electronic artist. Between guys like him, XXYYXX and a few others, I think that EDM can be more than just MOLLYMOLLYMOLLY TURNIDUP^^^^^ TURNT
Surprisingly I've been listening to + by Ed Sheeran over and over again. I've been doing a lot of walking through cold, wintry landscapes and this seems to fit. Wish I'd had this one when I was tramping about London in the rain last summer. Also he has an album of collaborations with a lot of big UK grime names, so if you're interested in that check it out. Can't remember what it's called but I put it on today and it's pretty solid.
Based on your recommendation I picked up some Kanye. I got Yeezus and listened to it. I liked it a lot, I'm ready for my next Kanye assignment. Suggestions?
I've been gone a while...
W.A. Mozart 40th symphony - because I'm learning excerpts from it (and many other pieces) Red Mitchell and Clark Terry, A-Train - the banter at the beginning of this vid is so good. Charlie Chaplin - Smile - as sung here by Nat King Cole.
