Depends, is the wood treated or untreated?

If President Biden, Vice President Harris, and others on the left truly care about increasing the vaccination rate and saving lives, they should admit they were wrong to cast doubt on Operation Warp Speed and give President Trump and his team the credit

I dont think Biden or Harris give a flying fuck about American lives, at this time they only want people to get vaccinated so the numbers look better for them- less recorded deaths under the Biden admin that under Trump, so they can fake superiority. Admitting they were wrong at any point ever in history doesnt align with the end goal, and will never happen.

Very interesting. Does the US have anything like this? At this time I've been buying chemicals for my work from consumer retailers, but I assume B2B could be less expensive

I don't know of any schools in my area that teach it, but rumors of the parasite that makes you like cats spread through my high school as thoroughly as the "Marilyn Manson removed his ribs so he could suck his own dick" spread through the teenage population of the country

I used to have a ton of houseplants, but atm I have an herb garden and an african violet. My borage couldnt take the climate here and after a long, slow death it finally keeled over this week. My basil plants are huge with long streams of flowers that are nice, and my sage is producing more than I could ever use c:

I had a second interview for a job I am really interested in today. My degree, my employment experience, and my small business have little to do with each other, but a biopharmaceutical company approached me and asked me to apply for a position that is somehow an amalgamation of all my skills. I am really hoping I get the job, but I know they are interviewing a lot of people.

I've started selling soap irl at some local craft shows. I only have 4 planned this summer, and they are on weekends so they shouldn't interfere with the new job if I get it.

I've started getting into some hobbies since I last visited hubski. I picked up sewing again, and I've been making my own versions of cottagecore and prairiecore dresses I keep seeing on Instagram. I'm upcycling fabric from bedsheets and curtains that I get from thrifting. I have been feeling an increased sense of guilt from waste and throwing away materials that are still usable, so I've decided from now on not to buy new fashionable clothes. The only clothes I will buy new will be staple pieces that wont go out of style (I bought some black office shoes for my interview for example), any other clothes I buy must be second-hand, or I have to make them myself.

I'm also dipping my toes into pickling eggs, (but just in a container in the fridge, I don't have all the equipment for canning atm) I'm going to try a bunch if different recipes, basically marinating the eggs with various other ingredients.

In other news, my living situation has greatly improved since I was last here. FIL finally told MIL to take a hike bc her NPD behavior was getting more severe and she was making everyone's lives hell while she had a meltdown over everyone getting vaccines (thus, her losing the power of being the one person allowed to leave the house for groceries etc.) Life has been FANTASTIC since she left. SO is happier, his dad is happier. Her leaving coincided with BIL and myself being able to start job hunting, and with everyone having more emotional space to return to a sense of pre-pandemic normalcy.

SO and I have been making some changes to his parents' guest room (which we have been living in for a year now.) I got SO and his brother to remove the large decorative loveseat from our room since we've never used it and it just took up a massive amount of space. I put a short book shelf agaisnt the wall in its place and now all of my belongings are on the shelf, rather than stored in plastic bags all over the floor as they had been. Removing the loveseat has opened up the whole floorplan of the room, and improved the a/c circulation I think. SO Frankensteined a computer from a broken laptop and some parts from Ebay to make a second desktop in his work area. I think these changes have really helped make the living space feel more like "our" space rather than just us and our things being crammed into "a" space.

My plants are doing well, my fuzzy 10lbs kitty is still trying to challenge the 90lbs dog though, so we are continuing to keep them separated. I hope you are having a good week hubski ✌

I think I'm back. The situation with my MIL being crazy was escalating and I didnt feel like socializing much in that constant state of anxiety. FIL I kicked her out about 2 months ago tho, and life has been returning to new normalcy so I think I'm back c:

Wawa food has nothing on Wisconsin bites. Sheetz is supreme and wawa is fake boujee but no better than an AC&T

To be fair, we are the third most populated country, China stopped counting at 80K (and even before that wasn't counting their number of cases honestly), and now india is catching up quickly.

If any other country besides the two above had the most cases, I would be surprised.

Right now I am reading a book called The Start-up Owners Handbook, it's used by Stamford to teach business students, and I am following the steps in there to handle my company. I'm currently in the Customer Development phase, which means not spending money on marketing until I know the exact demographic to pinpoint.

I am mostly posting on social media, using lots of hashtags to get attention from potential customers. I'm also going to sell at 2 festivals this summer, to give me a chance to meet customers face to face. This time last year I only had like 1 visitor a month, but I am up to about 15 visitors a day now. My conversation rate is only 5%, but once I identify my exact target demographic I can start pinpointing who I market to.

I think Comcast would disagree. They make money when customers have no other choice. I'd bet they probably would also love to repeal net neutrality.

Daffodil  ·  1078 days ago  ·  link  ·    ·  parent  ·  post: 82% of net neutrality comments to the FCC were fake

The 18 million fake comments the FCC received did not solely oppose net neutrality. The 19-year-old college student cited in the report submitted 7.7 million comments in favor of net neutrality

Not all the comments were anti net neutrality, only the ones created by broadband companies.

I have my own website. I'm in some soap maker groups on fb and the general consensus there is that etsy is too difficult to get into these days. There are thousands and thousands of handmade soap shops, and shops that already have reviews get pushed to the top. Also they changed their search algorithm to only look up product names, so if a customer tries to look up your shop directly they wont be able to.

Having my own website has presented me with a lot of challenges, but I like knowing that the traffic I get is a sign of successful marketing, and that other people's products wont be advertised to shoppers while they are looking at mine.

Hopefully you are able to get vaccinated soon! I didnt think I would be able to as soon as I did, but the national guard stepped in and set up a few mass vax sites in my state and once they were up and running the wait time went from months to days!

Genius idea, thanks!

Daffodil  ·  1078 days ago  ·  link  ·    ·  parent  ·  post: 432nd Weekly "Share Some Music You've Been Into Lately"

Does anyone know where I can download music for free, that wont fill my computer with viruses? I just got a used ipod bc i don't have good enough service to stream music while I'm driving, and i don't like any radio stations around here. Now i can't remember my itunes account username, or email so i can't use the credits i had left from a decade ago that i planned on using.

I wish they would have quoted exactly what she said that was deemed hate speech so the readers could form their own opinion. If she said "homosexuality is a sin" or something like that, that falls under free speech imo, but if she started advocating for the execution of homosexuals (as a government official no less) then yeah that's hate speech. I feel like they are intentionally leaving out what she said to sensationalize this as a War On Christianity ^(TM) situation, rather than hold her accountable for anything she may have actually said.

Daffodil  ·  1079 days ago  ·  link  ·    ·  parent  ·  post: India may be headed for a national lockdown due to Covid.

3.45 million active cases on Tuesday, India recorded 357,229 new infections

Their active case count is higher than the entire population of the United states. Jeez, this is just horrifying :C

Experts had previously raised numerous theories as to the structures’ purpose, including as animal enclosures, burial sites

I think it's limiting that archeologists have only considered utalitarian uses for these sites.

When civilizations 8050 years in the future find our football stadiums, will they assume them to be religious spaces?
