My brother, father and I in Catalina. We practically lived there until my brother and I got older and started playing sports, going to school more, etc. Those were the good days. I remember my mom used to teach us all the names of all the sea life. She would leave a rope in the water so all sorts of fun stuff would grow on it and then get out her old marine bio books and we would try to match the stuff on the rope with the photos in the book. We would hunt for seashells and have a contest with who could find these rare little guys that we called coffee beans. My brother and I would jump off the boat over and over and over again until our hands and feet were prunes. At night we would look at the stars or, if there was bioluminescence, pump the toilet downstairs and watch it glow until our parents yelled at us.
I'm the dude with the ciggy hanging from the corner of his mouth. The guy in red is good friend of mine, this was taken about two weeks before he moved out of that house we're standing in front of. I don't know the other guys, except for the white guy next to him, that's his room mate. The second youngest half brother. Me with the KoRn hoodie. My ex, who I realize used me for a free ride around her area (Pittsburgh). The youngest half brother is at the farthest end. From right to left: me, my ex (see above for thought on her), the blonde chick is the one i mentioned to zeevconri earlier on one of his/her posts called Regret. Seriously worth the read. The frizzly haired chick next to her, well she's... I don't know, she WAS a good person until my ex convoluted everything that we built our friendship on. The scruffy guy on the farthest end is one of the few people left on this rock that I still respect. He's done a lot for me and I've done a lot for him, I love him like a brother and I would die for him if needed. I hope it never comes to that, but I'd go that way if it did.
