Do some acting, even voice acting, and be good enough that people invite me to conventions.
That woman was not taking the experiment seriously at all, but I wonder how much of that was affected by things like: The appearance of the robot (that is not a cat, I don't care what you say.), the environment, the language the robot was speaking, and how she thought the robot was "thinking". That is, would test subjects be more "merciful" to a robot if they were told "This robot is dynamically deciding what to say based on your actions" as opposed to "We've given this robot a set group of pre-programmed responses which will play in order as you shut it down."
You're a good guy.
That's pretty cool, actually.
Grad school, and I know where I want to go (Human-Computer Interaction and... some related stuff) but I'm not sure how to get there. It's more than just that general topic though, I know I never want my own kids, but that I DO want to be an aunt or mentor. I know where I want to live, how I want to live... It's like I'm done "finding myself" and need to figure out what to do with that knowledge.
I understand EXACTLY what you mean.
I recommend big-scary-traveling at least once. Whether it's awesome or it ends up being awful, you'll still be a different person at the end of it.
Thanks for those!
You're quite the entrepreneur.
Man, you seem like a philosopher ALREADY. Ever read/listened to any Allen Watts?
What kind of business would you like to start?
Co-operative employment? How's that work being a chemical engineer? And after reading that essay, what do you think you'll be looking into next?
