I always worry about what will happen when virtual reality (currently; 'games') become just as realistic as real life and more enjoyable. What will the world be like when people would rather be in virtual reality than actual reality?

Aside from that, I realise that at some point we will all have the same skin colour, brought on very gradually by interracial couples. I guess this would mean an end to racism, though I'm sure we would find another way to hate each other. Perhaps it will become about class more than anything.

It is definitely fun to think about! It's an amazing feeling when you are able to use something you've read to reinterpret the world and I don't mean to take that away from you. The book sounds super interesting and I have reserved it at my library. I think it would be difficult to deny a deep connection to fire as humans.

There are some some reasonable guidelines in the bible, for sure. If people were to live by these, then I expect it would help us to get along. Some of its philosphies are totally unreasonable, however; to live life based on all of the bible's messages would be carnage!

Our white ancestors are the reason that these blacks behave in this way. I expect that white people in similar economic/social situations would behave in the same way. Luckily for us, white history/lineage usually means this isn't the case.

In the UK 'cunt' is used against men more frequently than against women. Calling a woman a cunt is somehow more rude, but it is a general word for a terrible person. There is no gender barrier for its usage. Furthermore, 'cunt' is often used in a friendly manner here. I call my male friends 'cunt' all the time.

I think it would be difficult to define how we are 'meant' to live as this implies the existence of a set of predetermined 'rules' or 'guidelines'. I would say, however, that we would probably be happier if money didn't exist.

I think the idea of smoking as a 'physical rebellion against the fundamental element of fire' is a little far-fetched.

It is alive but is it 'a life'? To me up to a certain point the foetus is only 'alive' in the sense that it is another part of the living mother. It really depends on what you consider 'life' to be, right? The foetus does not think for itself until a certain point and does not experience pain independently until another. Is it a life if it is not even capable of feeling its death approaching? Let alone understanding what death is? Surely the foetus is simply a part of the mother until it is able to think independently (even in the most basic terms). To me it would be strange to consider the foetus as 'a life' as it is not, at least until a fairly late stage, anything more than a part of the mother. It is part of her 'life' and she can remove it in the same way she might remove a wart.

I wouldn't say nobody knows about him, but I really like Tor, a Canadian hip hop/trip hop producer. He became a lot more popular making mashups of Sufjan Stevens matched with various emcees, for example this, with Blackalicious.

He signed to Emancipator's very recently established label, Loci Records and released an album, Drum Therapy. The sound is something like a darker version of Bonobo, who you will certainly know if you are into downtempo/trip hop.
