Although I have only seen the first season I HIGHLY recommend this anime and look forward to seeing the second season as well as the movie. No spoilers from me here. Followed.

Nostalgia indeed. Favorite.

I once had a company call me at midnight when I was sleeping as I opened early in the meetings at the time. I don't even remember the call as I was asleep when I answered the phone. I only know that I actually took the call because they had the recording. I had called to cancel whatever I had apparently agreed to in my sleep. It took two hours get them to understand that had no recollection of the conversation. Even listening to the recording it was incredibly obvious that I was asleep or drunk. I wasn't drunk. They argued with me forever until I threatened to take them to court and call the BBB.

It's no big deal. He doesn't particularly like me. If you want to send it to him cool, if not it's w/e. I just don't like not being able to coexist and I enjoy the different view points. So when I appreciate what one such as he says I feel the need to put it out there in an attempt to build a bridge of understanding.

Please let that never happen. I want to be optimistic and say that the people would never allow that but.... Yeah....

What a thoughtful gift. Omnom.

Read and love it. I myself am one of those who believed in the duty to work. I was raised that way. I still believe that work is everyone's duty to themselves and others but I also know that we were not meant to spend our lives toiling away in some factory or office to barely survive so someone else can spend their time assuring their own laziness. I'm not sure if 4 hours of work is still enough considering population growth or if it's all relative but I still think this has much merit in today's world.

Maybe a writer could legitimately make the same claim musicians do with download hubs. Even that isn't close to the same thing and it doesn't sound like writers are pissed about them so this is just people being jerks.

Crazy thing just happened. I actually like something kleinbl00 has to say. I wish I could tell him how much I appreciate his explanations on this as it is something I have been eager to learn about and he seems to be very knowledgeable in this category. Alas I can't so maybe this will find its way to him.

I love playing devils advocate and even i wont argue this.

The sites sound like a good way to level the playing field between the powerful and the drones. Only natural that the powerful will find a way to shut them down.

This too makes me a sad panda

SadPandaIsSad  ·  3159 days ago  ·  link  ·    ·  parent  ·  post: What Do You Do With a Bear That Kills a Person?

Torn. How do you weigh public safety against wildlife? They have just as much right to live as we do. we are just bigger as a whole. With no way to specifically tell what happened I can't advocate the killing of a mother and the displacement of her cubs.

Might be blaming the victim here but: Don't go to dangerous places without proper protection, especially when that protection isn't hard to obtain(especially in that area).

Death is tragic and beautiful no matter the species. It's natural and a bear in HER territory killing and eating anything doesn't seem a reason to kill her provided it remains an isolated incident.

I get the feeling that he was forced to kill the bear due to the outside pressure and destruction for the sake of politics makes me a very very sad panda.

SadPandaIsSad  ·  3159 days ago  ·  link  ·    ·  parent  ·  post: Should We Stop Using the Phrase 'Assisted Suicide'?

I still don't understand why people let words affect them. Words only have the meaning, weight, and connotations we give them. Yes, sometimes its hard when things remind you of uncomfortable things. Let's be adults about it and ignore how a word makes us feel and look at whats important. That is morality, not preference in verbiage. This is just silly.

Then again the general public IS ignorant and so will focus on things like wording instead of morality. Then there are the people who want to distract form the actual issue by focusing on how much people care about what word is used to describe something.

We can use all the pretty words we want but it is what it is.

SadPandaIsSad  ·  3162 days ago  ·  link  ·    ·  parent  ·  post: My customers are my friends. Ummm.... NO, THEY'RE NOT!

This is the second test of this type that I have taken in the last three months. This one claims I am ENFP but the previous one claims me to be INFJ. In both cases my I/E and J/P were almost even. It's seems that I am caught in the middle. In both cases my NF is not close to neutral. I see things from both that are very close to who I believe myself to be as well as how people close to me perceive me to be. Some of these things are incredibly contradictory.

I wonder what this balance means. Am I just indecisive and confused or is it an ability to be one or the other as necessary? Does it mean that my knack for logic allows me to be that which I am not? Or are they conflicting "me's" so to speak?

Obviously these tests aren't the end all be all of personality but I definitely see some truth to it. It almost seems like I'm an anomaly. Lol.

Aww than you j4d3. I might have to make a list myself. I have actually been to busy lately to spend much time on here but I want to come back. Gotta make that money.

Lol so true. To be fair I'm sure they aren't making as much on the series anymore since it's been going for like 20 years. Must have been time to cut back the budget a few times.
