Yes, all of those ideas sound good as far as giving me extra ways of finding cool tags, but they're not really the issue that I was addressing.

Specifically, there's a post about the history of the McRib, but since people are allowed to write anything they like as their tag, it's listed as #wheresthebeef. There are no other posts in #wheresthebeef, nor are there likely to ever be. So even though this is a cool story, it doesn't let me find more like it, because of the lack of restrictions on tags. It could be under #food or #fastfood or even #mcdonalds, but as a once off tag it has less utility.

So perhaps if there was an algorithm to suggest tags based on the content of the article it might help.

Hey Niksko, the tagging function has changed and now if you read something that you think is inappropriately tagged, you can add a secondary tag to it. This should help with this. check it out

Oh, sure it's less useful.

But it's... cooler. http://tinyurl.com/c3y8s7l

Ah, I see. That's a much bigger challenge, but I agree that it would have a real benefit. So when I click on the tag field, I get a dropdown of some suggested tags. I could still go with #wheresthebeef, but #mcrib and #food would be there.

Food would have more company: http://hubski.com/tag?id=food

I'm going to think on this. Good suggestion.
