Now with extra science!

I taught myself kargyraa in 2003. I've been known to do it instead of whistling. "Overtone singers" are pussies. Overtone singing is difficult to hear without amplification. Throat singing can be heard across a damn canyon.

Followed the link. Watched it with my wife. We gave it a shot. There may be nothing more ridiculous than watching/hearing two novices try to "Throat Sing" for the first time together.

A sentence I never thought I'd read, "Overtone singers" are pussies.

Dude. Seriously. Who'd win in a fight, David Hykes or Hun Huur Tuu?

We're pretty much talkin' John Tesh vs. The Mongolian Banjo Band.

I don't know... we talking Tesh pre or post "Live at Red Rocks"?

No competition, the Throat Singers are far more compelling. Now if you could just get Hun Huur Tuu in from of an X-ray? (which if you are interested in it's origins, I might suggest: http://hubski.com/pub?id=7786)

That scientific american article used to have X-ray videos attached to it, back when Sciam was hosting it. As you might imagine, that was a while ago...
