I love it! Nice and articulate. Every word is clear, and the sound is crisp and warm and sweet. What guitar do you play? And man, I wish I could write like this. Do you have training in music theory? And someday, I'll find the time to take singing a little more seriously. Right now, I'm at recreational shower and driving by myself singing level. EDIT: Oh ho ho, and if you don't mind me asking, could I get a sheet or tab of this? If you don't want it public, you could PM me. I try never to pass up an opportunity to play a song I like because.. well.. that's how you get better! That, and playing with those better than you, but that's hard when half the time you're knee deep in schoolwork.
Hey GZ88, thanks for the compliments and for taking the time to listen. I play 1978 Gibson J50 but in this song I used this guitar. The guy playing it is Jim Roll and it's his guitar. He engineered and mixed this song and I picked up this guitar and thought it sounded more appropriate for the song than my own. It's also an old gibson. -Older than mine.
Woah, we've got a guy with a steady income here! Gibsons absolutely make my mouth water.. Nearly all my dream guitars are some iteration of a Gibson. Maybe once I make it big! I'm going to try to get a nice summer job at a local bike shop, or maybe a small hardware store, either of which should be enough to allow me to reward myself! That is, assuming I decide to splurge instead of responsibly investing the money. Have you ever seen a White Burst Les Paul? Oh man.
I used to have a Les Paul Studio Cherry Sunburst that I saved up for and bought just prior to college. Once in school I faced the age old dilemma "pay rent" or "move back home". I sold my guitar and my Fender Super Reverb amp and was able to stay in Montana. I really wish I still had them. Later, I bought a Fender Highway 1 Tele and I've always wished I went Gibson instead.
