Don't know what you think 'jazz' is, but this was my latest jazz post. http://hubski.com/pub?id=44219 and http://hubski.com/pub?id=44353 I was a Jazz studies major something like a lifetime ago. There are recordings of Max and Clifford that I like, but this seems to be pretty much straight ahead jazz, which doesn't really push my buttons anymore. There are recordings which are a lot like this which I enjoy but they were made a a time when this kind of stuff was novel not rote. This could be any jazz combo and no one would really notice.
Man I wish there was a way to save comments (mk). I want to check out those songs another time, but don't want to lose the links. I guess I could just check your posts.
No I know about that. I mean save a comment a specific single comment. When you hit "save" at the top, you're always notified when someone new posts in that thread. I like that feature, but sometimes I just want to save an individual comment.

I'm currently a jazz studies major. I was just starting out the Your Daily Jazz thing with something easy to digest. Don't fret, I'll get to this eventually.
I'm not a huge Mahavishnu fan, the are a little too diddly magnificent for me but Billy Cobham is one bad ass drummer. I sometimes listen to Birds of Fire and only pay attention to Cobham's drums, they blow my mind. Sounds like Cobham here, not Alias but I'd have to listen with headphones to be sure. Either way the drumming is great, the whole track is great for that matter.
