Hubski is a regularly changing website. mk, its architect, may look at this as a suggestion and change that detail about it.

I am also in agreement with removing this "feature", though for a different reason. I value privacy online a lot, and it frustrates me that who I follow and who I ignore is automatically made public, without giving me any control over who else is able to see that information. I understand wanting to make my shared posts public, because that's where hubski gets its kick, but there is no function to making ignores public.

Hubski exhibits this trend in a lot of different places in its functionality. If you come across other "features" that you dislike, squawk. It's not quite a democracy here, but the admins do listen.

Who else is an admin besides mk?

I am the only developer, however thenewgreen joined me early on and keeps his finger on the pulse more than I. b_b and sounds_sound have played a community management role for a while now too. We get together and discuss and plan things from time to time, and occasionally insomniasexx crashes these sessions without asking. :)

I can understand your point of view here, but having everything public fosters the rapid spread of ideas and, for lack of a better word, networking. It's great being able to go to someone's profile whose posts you enjoy and see whose posts they enjoy in one easy click. Transitive property, you've suddenly got a lot of new content to read in one simple step.
