Wow, you should really recruit someone to help with the search function :) It was the post that was about how we don't adopt amenities of the future until they're sufficiently like what we're already used to. I remember one example he used was how gently airplanes take off and land compared to what they could do.
Venkatesh Rao's: Welcome to the Future Nauseous. I searched 'thefuture' because I know #thefuture is a tag I use. It's a great piece. If I just searched 'future', and it was on the 8th or 9th page. Searching 'future rao' brings it right up. But that would be tough to recall. I'll implement that filter. If you want something done right... :)
