Do you have other plants, too? I've been growing peppers in pots for a couple years now and have a good harvest of habaneros so far. New this year is my Carolina Reaper that's close to flowering.

If I had a home and yard I'd make a garden, too.

That’s really it which is dumb because I have a yard. I am gone so often though that without a timed irrigation system it’s not worth it to grow much, as the plants will just die. That’s a this winter/spring goal, to install such a system!

Would love to grow some peppers, maybe not reapers though...

My habaneros are grown from seeds from peppers I got at the grocery store and are at least three years old growing in pots. They're outdoors in the summer and under a grow light in the winter indoors. One of them is a total drama queen if I don't water it all the time, but otherwise I'm led to believe they're pretty easy plants to grow. The reaper was harder to get going; I probably planted ten seeds (from a pepper a coworker grew) and only got the one germination. That one has been fine, though.

An irrigation system would be great.
