People of Parler:
This is simply a success story of two Russian entrepreneurs willing to host your seditious content and help you overthrow the U.S. government. And on the cheap!
from the article:
- Parler critics said it was a potential security risk for it to depend on a Russian company, as well as an odd choice for a site popular with self-described patriots.
Y'know, what do I know? I'm just a Parler critic. But forrreal, this is... very, very bad. The Russians are even gonna receive and host the content history, not just new content? That would be fucking huge! They could troll through it to find all sorts of terrible shit out. Isn't this a major intelligence breach?
"Journalism" rating: 8.6/10, journalists can do even worse, guys, you'll see
I get up and I do some physical therapy. I then turn on CBS This Morning, which generally gives me the opportunity to see 15 commercials and 30 seconds of news. This 30 seconds was about Trump moving to Mar-el-Lago and how some of his neighbors aren't into it. Some, however, are very into it, like whatever crazy rich moonbat they found who I guess ran Trump's operation in Florida for the 2020 election, who castigated the reporter for using "the G word." "G word?" "G.O.P. It's a bad word. I'm a Trumplican!" So let's look at the landscape: - 52% of voters blame Trump for the riots - but only 11% of republicans - 28% of Republicans say Trump's actions on Jan 6 "make them happier" - Republicans are abandoning Fox News for shitty Wordpress skins hosted out of Russia - The head of a Trump PAC in Florida says "GOP" is a dirty word - Republican congressmen who support insurrection may have a hard time with fundraising - The NRA is bankrupt - but even that's a civil war Us poor dumb progressives out here in the world are a bunch of spoiled pansies. Our civil war didn't go kinetic until January 6th. Meanwhile, the GOP has been fighting (and losing) an insurrection since 2015 and the battle lines have hardened - you're either with the Russian stooge or you're a race traitor.
Probably something between George Wallace, Strom Thurmond and Ross Perot. I can't imagine any of the rank'n'file want this shit. On the other hand, the chair of the RNC, AKA Mitt Romney's kid, totally rolled with "Trump is our god-king" for the 2020 platform.
