I would like to point out that this is a really shitty, probably meaningless study. Everyone should know better by now, and especially the WHO, than to publish open label studies. They are not "evidence" in the scientific sense of the word. Open label bullshit is what sparked the who hydroxychloroquine craze to begin with.

Yeah. I appreciate that the article points out that this is not currently peer-reviewed, at least.

ETA: I think one huge problem we're facing right now is that we are being pressured to push the scientific method and verification to its limits. We are desperate for information on COVID-19 at a policy level, and at a media level.

Peer review can't fix the problems with that study. Only placebo controlled, double blinded, prospective studies comprise evidence that can be properly evaluated. There are very few exceptions to that rule. I'm annoyed that this study has gotten so many headlines today.
