I personally don't like u-a, but I can see the merits of either system. Say a very private person gets their identity compromised, and they don't want a written record of everything they've said anonymously available to the world. I can see that person wanting to blow it all up. On the other hand, it's really annoying when you're looking at an old conversation and can't follow it, because you don't know who posted what. Pros and cons.

People who haven't had randos on the internet threaten to rape and murder your loved ones can underestimate the importance of being able to break search. "random shit said by user-inactivated" is not useful when you're trying to terrorize someone but "random shit said by kleinbl00" is all the Keyboard Kommandos need.
