Why do we still hate Venezuela? What’s even going on down there, last I read things were dire.
Human rights abuses unsanctioned by us, basically. The Chavez administration did a pretty good job of using the US as its bogeyman and Maduro is nothing if not a slow, unimaginative shadow of Chavez. Dictators in our pocket we'll foster but dictators who get uppity get Noriega'd.
