Have you seen any data on bioavailability of the active ingredient of skullcap? My mother-in-law started getting sick the other day (I don't think it's covid but it's possible), and she asked me how much to take. I said I have no idea, so just take one every 8 hours to be on the safe side.
Here is an in vivo mouse study w oral admin and serum measures of baicalin: https://sci-hub.tw/10.1248/bpb.33.238 240mg/kg 2x per day was the effective low dose, which would be 19.4mg/kg in humans, or 1200mg 2x per day in me. This powder recommends up to 1500mg/day, so I'd probably start at 750mg 2x per day. EDIT: Label stays start low to gauge response. Not sure what the pills contain. 2 pills every 8 hours is probably safe for a short while. Only contraindication I have found is when mixed with black catechu. After talking with you I started a twice daily regimen of baicalin extract and sodium ascorbate. I wound up getting sick with mild flu like symptoms for about 5 days - fever, headaches, sore throat, dizziness, but it never made it into my lungs. No idea if I had covid-19 ( I know everyone thinks they've already had it ) but if I did I am fully convinced that the baicalin helped in a speedy recovery.
Would you be down w sharing your experience? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tnEP8W6YYI9-uYiqNr0s2aTpSf2LLDA--3r9s5ygmW0/edit?usp=sharing
