This was a good read, but I wish I hadn't read it. It fills me with the same feeling that short-fiction horror stories do: A sense of lingering dread being experienced second-hand through "characters", except in this case that feeling is tempered by the fact that it's all real.

Something the article didn't focus on that struck me: They mention people having sex in a maternity room meant for breastfeeding, but...I'm horrified that these severely underpaid workers are forced to bring their infants into an environment where drug use is common, and witnessing horrific murder is a banal part of a daily routine. Obviously every workplace should support nursing mothers, but I can't imagine the pain mothers must feel at exposing their children to beheading videos, violent/racist coworkers, and the type of toxic behaviors exhibited in this article.

They aren't bringing their kids or else they'd talk about the on-site daycare. They're talking about a pumping room.
